A Snow Leopard in Its Natural Habitat
Let's be honest; it's not every day you see a snow leopard. These wild animals are normally miles away from humans, enjoying nature on their own terms. But even if you do get to see a photograph of a snow leopard in its natural habitat, can you actually spot it? This photo was taken in Spiti Valley in India and shows a snow leopard so perfectly camouflaged that you can barely see it.
It blends into its surroundings extremely well, and the only chance you have of spotting one of these things (before its too late) is being able to see the whites of its eyes!
It's a Hoot to Find the Owl
In a world where the modern world and nature combine, it seems as though some animals get a little confused. Take this little owl, for example (if you can spot it, of course). Although this sign aimed to protect the burrowing owls that were nesting on this particular stretch of beach, it seems as though this owl got a little confused and thought he'd found a friend to hang out with.
All in all, it created a hilarious camouflage effect that makes the owl almost completely impossible to spot. Did you manage to find him? Or did you think there was just one owl there?
Try to Spot the Cat
Anyone who has a cat will know that these animals are sneaky little things. Although their animals were wild animals roaming the tundras and killing their prey, domesticated cats now spend their days knocking photo frames off cabinets with their tails and hiding in your laundry basket. But can you spot the cat in this photo? We'll give you a minute, because this is one of the hardest one on the list...
Look in the background; is it there? What about on the table? Or are they hiding in the cupboards above? Well, take a look at the woman's neckline, and that might help you out a little bit.
There Is No Cat Here
Have you ever felt personally victimized by your cat? You're not alone. Cat owners around the world buy their cats the best beds and toys in the business, but they don't appreciate them. Instead, they find the strangest places to sleep - like the fluffy rug in the bathroom that allows them to become one with the white fluff. Actually, what are we saying? There's no cat here. Shh, be quiet.
While we're sure this cat is very comfortable on this fluffy rug, we can't help but think that this is a win-win for everyone involved. After all, you can keep your feet warm on the floof while you use the bathroom.
Where's the Invisible Man?
If you're considering a change of career, why don't you follow in the footsteps of Liu Bolin? This visual artist has made a name for himself as a contemporary concealment artist, which essentially makes him 'The Invisible Man.' He finds ways to hide himself in nature, camouflaging himself at every opportunity. And on this occasion he decided to do so in front of a piece of heavy machinery. But can you find him?
If it took you a while to spot this guy, you're not alone. We spent a good 10 minutes trying to find Liu before we finally spotted the shoes that were a dead giveaway.
There's a Giraffe There Somewhere
You probably don't need us to tell you that giraffes are pretty big. As the tallest animal in nature, it's pretty hard for giraffes to hide from humans. But that's not going to stop them from trying! And while this giraffe is kept in a zoo, it seems as though this big guy just loves to try and camouflage himself whenever he can. We bet you can't even see him.
All we see is a tree with ears, a nose, and a rather pear-shaped body. We see no giraffes here, people. So, it's time to move along to the elephant enclosure instead.
There Are Four Cats Here
When you look at this picture, what do you see? Three adorable black cats, right? While we do have to question why these cats are all gathering together, we can only assume that they are plotting world domination and planning on taking over the world one cat litter at a time. But aside from their general scheming, what you might not realize is that there are actually four cats in this photo. Can you spot the fourth?
Here are a couple of hints. 1) The fourth cat isn't the same colour as the rest. 2) Maybe you should look towards the left a little bit. Use these hints and you'll find the fourth in no time!
Spot the Rare Bear Dog
There's nothing more wholesome than a dog who loves you unconditionally. That's why it always stings a little when your dog decides to take themselves off to sleep somewhere else in the house. That's exactly what happened in this home, but when this owner went to search for their dog, it took them a whole 20 minutes to realize where he had actually gone. And we really don't blame them.
What's so funny about this particular optical illusion is that you can bearly see the dog on the bed! He's completely camouflaged! And, no, we will not excuse the pun.
A Bearly Visible Bear
If you were to spot a wild animal out in nature, there's a high chance that you wouldn't be surprised. After all, that's where they live! But what would you do if you spotted a bear hiding behind a tree just a few yards away from where you were standing? Well, we're going to assume that you'd probably be a little scared. But maybe the bear is more scared of you than you would be of it?
Why else would a bear hide behind a tree? Unless he really does think that he's hiding, in which case that is one of the cutest things we've ever seen. Even for a giant bear.
There's a Golden Eagle in the Mountains
Golden eagles are the kind of wild animals that you don't see very often. They're elusive, they're rare, and, as you can tell by this photo, they're impossible to spot when they're in their natural habitats. And this picture just goes to prove that nature is absolutely bizarre. Hidden on this cragged mountain is a giant golden eagle, but can you spot it anywhere? Well, it took us a good 10 minutes.
If you've inspected every inch of this photo and still can't find the golden eagle, look towards the top, head towards the middle, and then glance your eyes slightly to the right. You should be able to see it then.
There Are Two Cats in This Picture
When you add a cat to your home, it's very easy to become obsessed. Although these animals are fiercely independent and love to be by themselves, you want to be with them at all times, and you want them to be as happy as they can be. That's why so many people decide to get a second cat - to make themselves and their cats extra happy! But did you know that there are two cats in this picture?
Sure, the cat that's sitting on the floor is pretty obvious, but you'll need to look a little harder to find the second one. Let's just say that it must really love the Christmas tree.
A Little Friend Found on the Path
You've got to be careful when you're out and about in the modern world. Although it's rare to come across wild animals, sometimes they can cross your path without you realizing it - and that can put them in danger. This is certainly the case if you live somewhere where there are baby turtles roaming the streets, as these guys are so small you could accidentally step on one and not notice.
Can you spot the baby turtle here? We'd understand if you couldn't, but for an extra helping hand it might be a good idea to look for something that looks like a little coin on the pavement.
The Hidden Pet in the Pet Store
If you've ever been to a pet store, you'll know that it's pretty common to see some pets in there. From cute little bunny rabbits to fish you can take home right away, these pets aren't unusual. But what is unusual is having wild animals roam free in the store - which is exactly what happened on this occasion. We wouldn't blame you if you couldn't see this wild animal, though. It's pretty well camouflaged.
Hidden amongst the pet food is an animal that you wouldn't normally see inside, so we'd encourage you to check the top shelf for a little birdie searching for seeds!
A Few Ducks and a Dog
If you've ever lied on your resume before, you've probably felt like this dog. When this guy had had enough of playing fetch and trying to catch its own tail, it decided to go out into nature and embrace its wild animal roots. And while we appreciate the dog for trying something new, it's safe to say that his undercover mission isn't going very well. After all, he can't really pass for a duck.
It seems as though the ducks aren't suspicious, though, which is the main thing. And as long as the ducks don't suspect him, he can carry on in his mission to take the waterways by storm.
Where's the Alligator?
If you're ever walking around a muddy lake and see something you think is a little suspicious or out of the ordinary, it's probably a good idea to steer clear of it. You never know what it might be - especially if it looks a funny shape like in this picture. But what is this? Well, this is an alligator in all of its muddy glory, and this is one of the creepiest things we've ever seen.
We had no idea that wild animals could camouflage themselves in such a way, and the fact that we can barely see this alligator stuck in the mud makes us even more scared of them (and their big teeth).
A Spider in Plain Sight
There are three kinds of people in this world: people who can tolerate spiders, people who hate spiders, and people who will burn their house down if they spot the tiniest hint of a spider web. But we dread to think what those who absolutely despise spiders would do if they came across this giant hidden spider. After all, it's hiding in plain sight and ready to pounce at a moment's notice.
What's even scarier is the fact that you can barely see this spider camouflaged on the tree. But just make sure you take a proper look for the legs just above the knot.
Give a Toast to the Hidden Toast
It's surprisingly easy to lose things in your house. You can lose your car keys in the junk drawer, you can lose the TV remote down the back of the couch, and you can even lose a packet of chips (because your other half ate them). But on this occasion, it seems as though this person lost their piece of toast just moments after they had gotten it out of the toaster.
This just goes to show that camouflage can show up anywhere, and we bet it took them ages to realize that the toast actually hadn't moved an inch. It just looked like it had.
The Youngest Hide and Seeker
If you have kids in the family, you'll know that these youngsters love nothing more than playing hide and seek around the house. They'd play this game for hours on end if they could, but they're not always the best at it. You have to admire their gusto, though. And you have to admire the fact that they'll do anything they can to not be spotted - like try and camouflage themselves!
Yes, there is a professional hide-and-seeker in this photo. And this youngster decided to camouflage herself using the same towel that was sitting on the stool in the kitchen for extra protection.
There's a Cat Amongst the Wood
As you've probably already realized from this list, cats are naturally sneaky. They will squeeze themselves in and out of the smallest spaces and can remain undetected for weeks on end. And in another confusing turn of events, we're here to tell you that there's actually a cat hiding in this pile of wood. But can you find it? It took us a lot longer than we'd like to admit to spot it.
If you need a little hint (like we did), we think it's important to note that you're not looking for the full body of a cat. Instead, you're looking for one ear, a portion of the head, and two eyes of a black cat.
Spot the Stunning Tree-Like Moth
There are many wild animals in nature that are designed to blend in. They have evolved to be camouflaged amongst the trees for the sake of their survival, and this means that they can live a happy and healthy life without having to run away from predators at every waking moment. And while this works in their favor, this doesn't exactly work in our favor when we're trying to find these animals.
On this tree is a moth that blends perfectly into the bark of the tree, and we bet it's going to take you a while to actually find it. Try and search for the outline of the wings, though.
One of the Dots Is Actually a Heart
Wild animals aren't the only things that can camouflage themselves, you know. Sometimes, you might spot tiny little details in everyday household objects that you've never seen before. And this happened to the owner of this dish, who realized years after buying it that one of the many dots is actually a heart! But can you find the heart among the dots? Look closely and you might just be able to spot it.
If you're stuck and need a little helping hand, imagine the dish is actually a clock and look to where 10 'o'clock would be. There you'll find what your heart desires.
A Mountain of Clothes (and a Cat)
Let's be honest; cats can be creepy sometimes. While we do admire their independence, their ability to survive on their own in the wild without our love just doesn't sit right with us. And sometimes, they could be gone for weeks on end - and then suddenly you'll spot them in your closet staring at you as you get dressed! They're scheming little animals, but they're lucky that they're so cute.
Yes, there is a cat hidden amongst this mountain of clothes, but we'll give you a little time to spot the cat in the closet. Hint: try and find the whiskers.
A Bird and Its Plants
Everyone needs plants in their homes, right? There's nothing better than having this greenery sitting on your windows or hanging out on your kitchen countertops, as they're a great way to bring the outside in. But this person got more than they bargained for when they put these plants near the window. As well as bringing the outdoor plants in, they also managed to bring the outside animals in too!
If you look closely, you'll be able to see the tiny visitor that made an appearance in this home. It's small and green and merges perfectly with the plant! How cute.
A Lizard Lurking in the Leaves
One of the wildest things about wild animals in nature is that some of them are so small you'd barely even notice them if you were walking past. This means that every time we walk through the forest or the fields, we walk past countless animals without giving them any attention at all. Take this person, for example. Although they took a photo of the beautiful purple leaves, what they didn't realize until later was that there was also a lizard in the leaves.
Can't spot it? Cast your eyes to the right and towards the top of the picture, and search for a tiny little brown lizard. And when you see it, you won't be able to unsee it.
A Peekaboo Cat
Have you ever been going about your day and then spotted a cat staring right at you? These animals follow you with their beady eyes, sneaking around after you like they know all of your secrets. And while there's nothing cuter than a fluffy kitty, sometimes spotting a staring cat can be a little unnerving. So, how would you feel if you were sitting in your backyard and saw this guy staring at you?
Of course, there's a high chance that you wouldn't notice at all, as this cat is so well camouflaged that it took us about ten minutes to spot it in the first place.
Find the Fish
When you go to a grocery store, you want to be able to see what's on the shelves. This entices you to buy things and gives you the opportunity to inspect the packaging and the produce before you buy anything. But can you spot the fish in this packaging? Although it looks empty, this isn't just an empty packet sitting on the shelves. There really is a fish in there.
We don't really understand why a grocery store would sell such a tiny fish, and for just 5 cents, it seems like a complete waste of packaging to put this little guy on the shelves.
Spot the Real Dog Vs the Fakes
At first glance, this looks like the kind of puppy party we'd like to be invited to. After all, what could be better than hanging out with a whole load of dogs who just want to give you attention and snuggle all day? But when you take a closer look, you'll realize that these aren't real dogs at all. Almost all of these dogs are cartoon versions of real dogs - except for one.
Hidden somewhere is a singular real dog, but can you spot it? If you want the answer, check out the dog that's seventh row down, third from the left - and thank us later!
There Are Four Animals Here
Wild animals tend to roam around the natural world in packs. They hang out with other animals of their own kind, and this helps with their protection from predators. And while these goats do the exact same thing, that doesn't stop them from being targeted. Don't believe us? Just look at this picture! While it may look like there are just three goats in this picture, there's actually a predator lurking in its midst.
There are indeed four animals in this photo, so let's see if you can find the big cat that's getting ready to pounce on its prey. To give you a helping hand, it's somewhere near the middle...
A Lost Child in the Ball Pit
Kids love ball pits. There's something about being surrounded by small plastic balls that makes them so happy, and who are we to question something that keeps them quiet for half an hour? That's why the mom of this kid decided to let her son go wild in the ball pit until she realized that she couldn't actually see him anymore. Don't worry, though, he's still there hidden amongst the balls!
Can you spot him? If you look at 12 o'clock, you might even be able to spot the left side of his face, including his left eye and his left nostril.
Find the Camouflaged Man
Although many wild animals have natural camouflage, humans have to purposefully camouflage themselves when they don't want to be seen in nature. You can buy camo clothes from any outdoor store, and some people even choose to wear this stuff when they eat at a restaurant! But the guy in this picture is using it in the perfect situation, as we genuinely can't see where he's gone. He's morphed into the jungle.
And while we'd love to help you out with this particular camo question, we're just as stumped as you are with this one. We know he's there somewhere, but where?
Can You Find Rudolph?
We love an optical illusion as much as the next guy, and this is the perfect example of a fun and festive optical illusion that took us much longer than we'd like to admit to finish. So, can you do it? Can you find Rudolph for Santa? With so many reindeer and so many red spots in this picture, it makes it incredibly hard for your eyes to focus on a single reindeer with a red nose.
If you're still searching for Rudolph, let's just say that you're best bet is to explore the left side of the picture. That should help you find the world's favorite reindeer.
There's a Cat in the Christmas Tree
If you have a cat, you'll know that these animals will always find there way somewhere where they're not allowed. And it seems as though cats are particularly fond of Christmas trees - no matter whether they're real or whether they're artificial. This cat is no different. And while its owner tried to keep it away from the Christmas tree, it decided to get as high as possible and hide itself in the branches.
But the cat is actually so well hidden in the branches that you might not even be able to spot it. Just look for its ear and you might be able to see it.
Double the Chickens, Double the Trouble
Chickens aren't exactly known for being masters of camouflage, but it seems as though some chickens have the ability to get lost in the mint. Yes, this pair of pet chickens were just roaming around the yard when one of them decided to go on a rogue adventure. In doing so, their owners thought that one of them had gone missing! But it turns out that it was just hiding in the mint.
Can you find it? Don't worry if you can't see the whole body, but if you can spot the head on the left-hand side of this picture you've absolutely nailed it.
A Toad Amongst the Rocks
It's not every day you get to see a toad in the wild. These animals are normally so small and elusive that humans just don't get the chance to enjoy their intriguing colors or movements. But today is your lucky day because this person managed to catch a toad on camera. And while it's just chilling out on the rocks, it's safe to say that it's also very camouflaged. Can you find it?
We'll point you in the right direction. So, all you need to do is look at the middle of the photo, just below the large sandstone rock. Then, you'll see the tiny little thing!
Where'e the Kitty Gone?
If you have a cat, there's a high chance that you will spend a huge portion of your life trying to find your cat. These animals love to squeeze themselves in tiny spaces you never use, they love to climb up to the highest shelf you can never reach, and they love to hide underneath furniture you haven't moved in years. But if you have a cat, we're going to assume that you can spot the cat in this photo.
After all, you know all of the tricks of the trade, right? And you know that if a cat sees a bookcase, it's definitely going to climb to the top, don't you?
A Retainer Hidden on the Counter
Countless people around the world wear retainers. Whether they used to wear braces or they wear retainers to stop them from grinding their teeth, these retainers are normally made of clear plastic - which can make things difficult if you lose them. And while this person lost one of their retainers (not the one in the blue case) they had a hard time trying to find it again. It couldn't have gone far... but can you find it?
Well, let's hope that when this person put their contact lenses in, they were able to find it again. And yes, that was a clue to help you find it, too!
A Game of Find the Toddler
Those who have raised children will know that the toddler age is by far the most exhausting. Sure, babies don't sleep, but toddlers are so much worse. They don't sleep but they still have bundles of energy, and the fact that they can now walk makes things even more difficult. You have to be on your toes all the time when you have a toddler, or you'll lose them in your own house!
Can you spot the toddler in this photo, though? No, you don't get extra points for finding the cat, but it's safe to say that you're looking in the right direction.
A Teeny Frog Hidden in the Leaves
Frogs really are the masters of camouflage. These animals are barely noticeable when they're sitting on leaves or trees, and that makes them very intriguing as animals. We all want to know more about them, and we want to see them away from this camouflage. You'll be hard-pressed to find a frog in the wild, though, so this picture might just have to do. If you can spot the frog, of course.
We'll help you out with this one because it is tricky. All you need to do is find the green plant toward the center of the image and then follow that leaf stem straight down to just below the chain link.
A Cat Ready for Ambush
Anyone who has had cats and dogs at the same time will know that there are two ways that relationship can go. Either your cat and dog will be best friends, or they'll absolutely hate each other. The person who posted this photo alerted the internet that the latter was true. So much so that their cat liked to ambush their toy poodle at every opportunity, and had become the master of hiding.
While this cute little toy poodle is none the wiser, the cat is behind him, ready to pounce. Do you spot it in the box behind the dog? You might be able to if you squint.
Find The Dachshund
Dachshunds are some of the smallest dogs out there, which is why it can be pretty stressful for sausage dog owners. After all, if this dog goes missing, they're impossible to find again! This might even happen in your own backyard, like it did with this person. They took their sausage out to do their business in the backyard when he shot off into the bushes, nowhere to be seen.
But if you look closely, you might be able to spot him. And you'll see a tiny sausage face if you look to the left of the base of the tree.
